It is with great sadness and gratitude that we bid farewell to Prof. Adolf Goetzberger, who passed away at the age of 94. As a visionary mastermind, Adolf Goetzberger, together with his colleague Armin Zastrow, first published the idea of agrivoltaics in 1981. He was also a key pioneer for the general use of solar energy. We bow to the life's work of Adolf Goetzberger and will carry on his legacy.

MIGAL Galilee Research Institute is hosting the second SunnySide APV Summit 2023.

The research project is a multidisciplinary analysis of three decarbonization strategies aimed at creating an energy system analysis that outlines the potentials and options for CO2 reduction in agriculture.
The German Farmers' Association (DBV), Fraunhofer ISE, and Kehl University welcome the increased support for agrivoltaics in the EEG 2023 in a joint position paper. However, more targeted support and simplifications of the approval processes for agrivoltaic systems are still necessary.

Fraunhofer ISE and the MIGAL Galilee Research Institute from Israel are hosting an online »Sunnyside APV Summit« on March 1.
