Agrivoltaics: Challenges, Concept and Synergies

The idea behind agrivoltaics is as simple as it is ingenious: using agricultural land twice to generate electricity and produce food at the same time. This concept has the potential to contribute to the great challenges of our time - be it in the fight against climate change or in securing our food supply.

The use of agrivoltaics also enables synergies to be created with other areas such as the water balance or the protection of plants from extrem weather conditions.
